The closest large town is Ulverston we could retire there lovely spot this is the view from the high fells behind the place the estuary canal is central and the Hoad is the inland light house built as a folly , its also the birth pace of Stan Laurel of the  classic comedy silent movie fame , several pubs and organisations in his memory  are there as well . The Lakeland leisure park is on the far side of the peninsular poking into Morecambe bay in far distance of this shot !
