 Linthwaite House Hotel serves an exquisite afternoon tea. The Unstuffy Full Afternoon Tea includes a pot of loose leaf tea or freshly ground coffee, a selection of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, plus home made cakes, and a glass of champagne can be added if desired. A less elaborate Cream Tea is also available which includes scones with jam and clotted cream.

Set in lovely gardens in Ambleside  Rothay Manor- Choose from a selection of sandwiches, savouries, cream cakes, tea breads, scones with jam and cream and more! As well as a wide selection of teas, from Farrers Lakeland special blend to Broken Orange Pekoe and Lapsang Suchong.

The Samling – afternoon tea at the Samling awarded a Michelin Star in the 2014 guide and is the current holder of the “Best Boutique Dining hotel in the world” for 2013.

Zip Trekking Adventure is a brand NEW experience. The course is a network of seven tandem zip lines that traverse the sky-scraping Douglas Firs at Grizedale Forest, providing customers with an exhilarating experience of flying way above the forest floor, and seeing the area in a completely new way.opening July Flying through the air on the longest series of zip wires anywhere in the UK, through one of the most beautiful, dramatic forests out there. And not just once, but seven times – over a total distance of 3km and for around 2 exhilarating hours.

Ghyll scrambling in the Lake District is an invigorating and challenging activity involving working your way up or down a gorge containing a tumbling mountain river. It’s the perfect activity for families and groups in the Lake District looking for something a little different. You can traverse along rock faces, hop across boulders, climb up waterfalls, slide down natural rock chutes and plunge from up to 8 metres into deep pools of water, and all from only £30 per person.
